Our Service
We offer a classic car wedding service using our Armstrong-Siddeley Cars – Hurricane Coupe and Sapphire. We generally operate within a 30 mile radius of New Milton in the New Forest, but can travel further subject to discussion. This covers most of Hampshire as well as parts of Dorset. We are fully insured for wedding and chauffeur hire, as well as for public liability.
Both the car and chauffeur will be impeccably prepared for your big day. The chauffeur will be dressed in the traditional suit, tie and cap, and the car will be cleaned and polished. Unless otherwise requested, the car will be dressed with traditional white/cream satin ribbons. We can provide other colours to match your wedding and bridesmaids’ dresses on request. If other decorations are required we will work with you to ensure your requirements are met.
Your special day should be free of any unnecessary worries, so we will plan your wedding journey in advance. This involves mapping out and driving the route a few days before the wedding to make sure that there aren’t going to be any hold-ups or diversions. It also means there’s no danger of getting lost! Hortense is a stately means of transport, and she attracts plenty of smiling and waving along the way, so please allow plenty of time to enjoy the journey.
Hortense
Built in 1946 by Armstrong-Siddeley as the first car in their new post-war range, Hortense is a reminder of a bygone age of relaxed class. Armstrong-Siddeley was a builder of expensive,luxury vehicles for the well-heeled. The Royal Family were regular customers, and the Sphinx mascot on every car was a well-known symbol of quality. Hortense’s Sphinx is a very Art-Deco example.

She’s quite a rare creature now, there are less than 50 Hurricanes surviving on the road. She photographs and films very well, and looks very glamorous, with lots of chrome and wood to catch the eye, and comfortable leather seats to relax in.

Eleanor
Built in 1955 by Armstrong-Siddeley as their most luxurious large saloon car, Eleanor epitomises the golden age of British car design. She is a very large 6-seater, 4-door saloon with immense presence and an aristocratic image. Painted in black over silver, and with lots of chrome and a large grille and mascot, she is very impressive for wedding photos.

Inside she is upholstered in red leather and carpets, set off by walnut for the dashboard and trim. There’s plenty of room for bridesmaids and large wedding dresses, on large bench-seats front and rear! |
Other Services
We can also offer second vehicles for other guests or members of the wedding party. We use Mercedes S-Class saloons for this purpose, as they are the acknowledged leader in luxury executive cars. With plenty of room for bridesmaids and relatives, they also offer an elegant means of travelling on the day. |
